Food For Thought

I AM THANKFUL FOR.... 

The partner who hogs the covers every night,
because he Is not out with someone else.

The child who is not cleaning his room, but
Is watching TV, because that means he Is at
home and not on the streets.

For the taxes that I pay,
because it means that I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party,
because it means that I have been
surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug,
because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work,
because it means I am in the sunshine.

For a lawn that needs mowing,
windows that need cleaning,
and gutters that need fixing,
because it means I have a home.

For the parking spot I find at the far
end of the parking lot, because It means
I am capable of walking and that I have
been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating/cooling bill,
because it means I am warm/refreshed.

For the lady behind me in church that
sings off key, because it means that
I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and Ironing,
because it means I have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles at
the end of the day, because it means
I have been capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off in the
early morning hours, because it
means I am alive.

And finally...

For too much e-Mail,
because it means I have friends who
are thinking of me.

Bake it, cook it like a pro

In n116, we have chefs that cooks and bakes like a pro, feeds us with yummy cakes for birthdays and yummy food for refreshment (although only occasionally like during Christmas).

One of my favourite stores that is a one-stop centre for an extensive range of quality tableware, kitchenware, foodservice, and related equipment and utensils for the food and beverage industry, is none other than Sia Huat Pte Ltd located at No. 7, 9 & 11 Temple Street.

Amanda's Birthday

Last week was a busy week for all of us with the asia conference going on. Of course even in the midst of busyness, we have not forgotten our dear Amanda's birthday, which falls on 21st November! Although the celebration was short and everyone was tired after the long night service ended, we just could not miss this important time to send her our birthday wishes, prayers and of course the yummy mango cake!

While Michael is making wishes, we hear someone laughing..

(hee.. hee.. ha.. ha.. hee... --> sounds familiar ? )

"Amanda, you go stand one corner."

And she did. (She's still laughing)

"We'll have someone to say something special to you..."

"But..Sorry it's not Grace.."

Amanda's classic: "Mike, The 1st time I saw you.....I thought you were..."
Amanda reveals her heartfelt thoughts about Mike as she slowly got to knew him, and her heartfelt thanks for always so willing to send her and the rest home to the east area after cell group after a long day.
