Thanksgiving Night

Its Thanksgiving Night, Our Cell Leader would like to show his appreciation for the effort we put in to grow this cell group.

We started with the "Monkey Dance"...

Ha ha... Nnnooooo.... its just the ice-breaker game, the forfeit is to do either the notorious Banana Dance or this new Monkey Dance.

**********************************************************
Our Cell Leader would like to appreciate some of the members for their effort and also encourage them to continue being the best of themselves. He specially prepared a few awards with their names engraved into it, presented it to them during this night.

For the person who has been most generous to the people, they give because they love... and they love giving because they love people.

Most Generous Award - Dorin & Daniel Cheah

See how happy they are? Chinese saying "Smile till see teeth can't see eyes"

For the person who sacrificed the most, doing the best for the rest... even if it means sacrificing sleep, rest and financially.

Most Sacrificial Award - Daniel Ang

Humble but not timid, Daniel Ang has been in our cell group for years, he personally designs and bakes a cake for every member's birthday

This award is for the person who is most faithful to the little details, taking time and care to ensure that others are taken care of. Booking seats for members and new friends make sure they are comfortable during the service.

Most Faithful Award - Cindy Yeo

Cindy: "Every year get award... my shelve got no more space for awards liao lor"

This award is for the person who has shown most progress in personality, character and spiritual life, hungrily going thru lessons after lessons of Bible Study.

Christmas Service

Christmas day, what better way than to be in City Harvest Church worshiping our Savior who was born on this faithful day.

My favorite part is the candle light lighting, from the stage, the light spreads all over the hall, symbolizing the love of God spreading throughout the world.

Amanda brought a friend to this service, who later gave her heart to Jesus. Praise the Lord!

My sister loved the Drama

Daniel flew back from Cambodia for Christmas

So what does Christmas means to you?

Party? Shopping? Giving?

Whatever the reason, the whole world always knows its a better place because of God's great love.

Christmas Special

It was a special Christmas Cell Group Meeting before the Christmas Weekend. We have lots of friends that came and join us in the celebration. Altogether, we had an attendance of 35 members and friends. What a breakthrough!

Our beautiful friends from Philippine joined us for a good time

As Christmas is also about loving and giving, the cell members did a gift exchange.

Sienny receiving her first christmas gift from xanthe...

Yu Bing got her gift from Cing....

Sky was moved to receive her gift

Can you guess how many children here?

"I really love your hair"

"Huh....did i wrap the wrong present"???

Sisterly love...

"I wonder what I'm getting..."

"I got Boxer shorts!!!!!"

Cindy examining the present she received from Gabriel.

Violet waiting patiently for the giver to finish talking about her.

Mr. Lim got a very elegant pen.

"Belinda, listen to me, you so skinny, must eat more..."

It was a time of sharing, a time of giving, everyone received a gift, including our guests.

They were so happy, they did the dance of joy.

BBQ

One of the great thing of joining a cell group is that there is always activities, the recent activity that N116 has organized to was a BBQ at the Pasir Ris Park.

For the past few days, although it has been raining rather frequently and heavily. We started to consider if its possible to carry on with the BBQ. But with God, all things are possible. in the afternoon, the sky started to clear, and through out the evening, it has been good weather all the way.

Johnny and his family were the first few to be there, enjoying themselves of the fresh air and cool breezes.

The youth are playing a scissors paper stone to decide who will bake food for the rest to eat. Funny why they all only show scissors.

We played "Captain's Ball". We are the future national players.

Manchester vs Arsenal. Exchanging the deadly looks before the whistle final blow.

Next we had the 'Dog and Bone' game. Laughing at the opponents. "You sure you can run faster than me ?"

Being out in the great outdoor, we must be prepared for all weathers, these 2 tentages are set up in case it rains, or it can become a "sickbay" if anyone needs to rest. But thank God none of that happened.

I suddenly aware that Daniel was wearing a t-shirt with the same design as mine.

Children always enjoy the beach, building sand-castles... looking for little crabs or star fish.

Xanthe: "I'll light the match, you hold the solid fuel."

Chee Foo: "You sure you won't burn my hand?"

Joy: "I'll block the wind!"

Have you seen 'Sun Yan Tze' look alike setting up fire ?

We have lots of food... Once the charcoal was hot enough, Daniel quickly took over the cooking, he looks very experience and very much enjoying himself at the pit.

Later, the "Master" took over... see the way he holds the straw fan, he can skilfully fan the food and himself at the same time.

Joy trying to poke at the sweet potato next to the hot charcoal.

The children took over the tent, making it their play pen.

Simon says... Do this!

These 2 girls are really cute.

Here comes 'Passing actions to one another'. Getting ready for Bruce Lee eating bananas.

The Highlights of the evening was a few special song items prepared by them.

'Guan Huai Fang Shi' by Joy and Angeline

They sang very well, especially a French song... I think its French song. Don't understand a single word, but still loving it.

Singing POP songs. Wow! "Mummy, do I look nice on photos ?"

All I want for Christmas is B.....B....Q....

Last piece. Duet by Gabriel and Amanda. "Oh Bandong.. Bandong... sorry, it's Quando, Quando"

Oh mine.. my darling.. I'm hunger for more food..

Winner goes to the two of them. The best pose for the night.

The 'Jie Mei Hua'

All in all, it was a great time of fellowship for everyone, young and old.
